Job description

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led and accountable 650+ provider multispecialty group practice that has an excellent opportunity for a Family Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join a robust clinic-based practice and work full-time at its a, as part of the Center for Global Health & Healing (CGHH) program.  Saint Alphonsus Medical Group International Clinic provides a special focus on the medical needs of families and individuals who have resettled in our community as refugees. The International Clinic strives to provide respectful, trauma informed, culturally responsive and equitable care for all families in the Treasure Valley. The clinic serves a diverse group of patients who have come from around the globe. The clinic utilizes several programs to help reduce current barriers to care, such as home visits, partnership with the Saint Alphonsus Infant/Maternal CARE Clinic, Saint Alphonsus Community Interpreter services and numerous other community agencies. Our providers are passionate about refugee care, and they are committed to increasing the quality and access to medical services for these vulnerable patient populations. As part of serving our communitys newly arriving families, the clinic provides an integrative model of care to address barriers to accessing equitable healthcare. This includes the providers working closely with interpreters, social workers, health advisors and resettlement agencies to increase continuity among these patient populations.

The International Clinic is conveniently located near Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, in a recently remodeled facility. Other services at this practice location include Ob-Gyn and Travel Medicine care. This is a Monday - Friday, 7:00am 5:00pm; 36 patient contact hours per week. No call required.

Requirements:

  • Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner medical license in Idaho; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho; Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
  • A strong medical background and a desire to develop a practice to support a growing multi-specialty medical group.  In providing this support, you will obtain Idaho medical licensure to maintain and strengthen the Health System's general internal program across all communities we serve.
