Job description

We are partnering with a well-established, privately held agricultural producer and distributor headquartered in California's Central Valley on a senior-level search for a Director of International Finance. Founded over two decades ago, this company has grown from a regional farming operation into a vertically integrated global business - spanning growing, packing, and international sales - with a significant revenue base and farming investments across multiple regions in the Americas and beyond.

With an expanding international footprint spanning several growing regions and global sales markets, this is a high-impact leadership role that sits at the intersection of international finance and agricultural operations. The incoming Director will serve as a critical bridge between corporate leadership and international farming and sales teams - bringing financial rigor, strategic insight, and operational understanding to a growth-oriented, mission-driven organization.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute global financial strategies to support the company's international operations, expansion goals, and profitability targets.
  • Oversee international financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across multiple regions and entities.
  • Manage financial risks related to foreign exchange, cross-border investments, multi-entity structures, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with global accounting standards and applicable local regulations.
  • Serve as a key financial liaison between corporate leadership and international farming and sales operations across several global markets.
  • Lead, mentor, and collaborate with regional finance teams to drive consistency, efficiency, and best practices across the organization.
  • Partner with executive leadership to deliver financial insights and data-driven recommendations that inform strategic decision-making.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and other international business initiatives as required.

Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
  • Prior experience in agriculture, food production, or vertically integrated grower/packer environments
  • Significant experience in international finance, accounting, and financial leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated track record managing global financial operations, cross-border investments, and multi-entity structures.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems, international tax regulations, and foreign exchange management.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence effectively in a multicultural, multinational environment.

Highly Valued:

  • Familiarity with international farming or agribusiness operations across multiple geographies.
  • Comfort operating within a privately held business culture where relationships, trust, and accountability are central to how the organization operates.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation ($150K-$200K) depending on experience
  • Flexible & Competitive Benefits Package
