IDS International is looking for a full-time Armed Security Guard to support our contract overseeing the Truman Presidential Library in Independence, Missouri and will report to our Program Manager. Responsibilities: * Maintain a high level of visibility at all times and surveil visitors in the Library and Museum for suspicious activities. 
* Patrol the interior and exterior of the facility, as well as monitor a closed-circuit television feed to prevent unauthorized access and limit other incidents.
* Secure and monitor access points during hours of operation, search bags as needed and monitor visitors throughout the facility.
* Guards will register guests into the research room and ensure rules and protocols are followed.
* When required, detain violators and prepare detailed incident reports.
* Attend and provide security during special events and VIP visits involving high profile government officials.
Required Qualifications: * Be a citizen of the United States AND be at least 21 years of age
* Have the ability to pass all pre-employment physicals and testing as the job requires standing for extended periods of time
* Received a minimum high school diploma or GED
* Three years of military, security or law enforcement experience within the last 5 years 
* Applicants should be proficient with firearms and pass a firearms qualification course
* Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Shifts available: Night shift Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds, but may vary depending on the position.
