Job Description
As KontrolFreeks' Public Relations Senior Manager you will report to the Vice President of Marketing. The successful candidate will possess exceptional judgment and critical-thinking skills and the ability to be strategic, yet tactical with media relations. The Public Relations Senior Manager should garner positive media opportunities that keep KontrolFreek in the news while cultivating and maintaining media and industry relations.
Essential Functions:
  • Identify, develop and implement a strategic communications plan
  • Create and deliver press releases, media relations content, by-line articles, presentations, company blog, web/social content and speaking proposals
  • Conduct media outreach with success
  • Respond to media inquiries and organize company press events
  • Maintain brand integrity across all internal and external communication
  • Assist with monitoring and managing existing social media accounts
  • Manage speaking opportunities and awards programs
  • Serve as a company spokesperson as required
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with press and industry partners
  • Assist with the writing and editing of marketing and promotional materials
  • Create other relevant content across social and traditional channels

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field
  • 5+ years' agency or client- side experience; agency experience preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work efficiently and effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • Highly organized self-starter comfortable working independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to plan strategically and manage multiple tasks and projects in parallel
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure in a fluid, fast-paced team environment while meeting critical deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, plus the ability to quickly learn and work with the new systems and software
  • Interest or experience in the Gaming industry a plus. Knowledge of video games preferred
