Job description

Position Summary: The Intern, Junior Graphic Designer supports the creation of visual content across digital, print, and in-arena platforms while working under the guidance of the Manager, Creative Services. This role contributes to marketing, social media, and promotional campaigns by producing brand-consistent designs and assisting with various creative projects. By helping deliver high-quality visual materials and maintaining strong collaboration with internal teams, this intern plays a key role in enhancing the Iowa Wild's brand presence and fan engagement.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Support the creation and execution of design projects across digital and print media.
    • Collaborate and create graphic designs and layout elements for advertising, publications, marketing, social media, and websites utilizing Adobe Creative Suite and other tools.
    • Utilize ad mats and other information provided to design or redesign content for effective communication and impact.
    • Adhere to brand imaging standards to ensure visual consistency across all materials.
    • Assist in the production of graphics for arena matrix displays and video productions.
    • Actively participate in department creative efforts to contribute ideas and visual solutions.
    • Work under the supervision of the Manager, Creative Services to ensure all production requests from internal and external customers are fulfilled.
  • Coordinate project management and foster strong internal collaboration.
    • Utilize project management software to manage project tasks, deadlines, and communication needs.
    • Regularly interact with internal customers on design projects to ensure clarity and alignment.
    • Create and maintain effective working relationships throughout the organization to support collaboration and project success.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
Formal Education & Certification:
  • Pursuing or completed Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Design Certificate a plus.

Knowledge & Experience:
  • Proven graphic design technical abilities with a strong understanding of layout, color theory and typography in both print and digital media.
  • Demonstrated creative mindset with a passion about excellent creative execution.
  • High-proficiency in the use of Adobe Creative Suite- Adobe After Effects proficiency a plus.
  • Experience with InMotion a plus.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint and Word.

Work Conditions:
