Job description

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support: Interact with end-users (in person, phone e-mail, SMS, etc.) to identify and resolve problems and concerns associated with security computer hardware, software, and operating systems. Prioritize appropriately, follow up with end users, and utilize all technical resources to problem solve.
  • Communication: Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues across the organization and affiliated agencies. Perform at or above evaluation standards established by JFMC Mobile Maintenance security.
  • IT Integration: Provide technology support for security hardware. Implement new camera installations, assemble and configure Video Managed System Servers. Programming and configuring POE Managed network switches, PA system implementation, and troubleshooting. Perform preventive maintenance for security devices such as video servers, network IP and analog cameras and video encoders, network switches, (PA) Public Address systems.
  • Training: Assist in individual and group training on computer systems and applications such as video surveillance and emergency alert systems.
  • General: Provide work coverage for the department as needed. Support JFMC related security activities and Mobile Maintenance team.
  • Support JUF Campaign and mandatory campaign-related activities on an ongoing basis.

What you need to succeed:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with PC networks, servers, and network switches.
  • High school diploma or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Mac-PC OS, Network IP Cameras, Video surveillance, handheld devices (IOS, Android).
  • A firm understanding of interconnecting and operation of security system devices.
  • The ability to work with staff at all levels and maintain confidential information.
  • Able to work fluctuating hours when necessary.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to climb a ladder and lift 50 pounds.
  • Valid Driver License.

Shift Hours: Monday - Friday: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Compensation: $35.89/hour
