Job description

Division: Roadrunner Vehicle Inspectors

#186S

Our team consists of professionals who support each other, have a good eye for detail, quick hand eye coordination to work on their hand-held devices and are motivated by maximizing their earning potential.  They are reliable and able to travel as our business requires it to continue our growth.  Growth for us means growth for you!  If you like to work independently in the American Automotive industry and are able to travel this might be a good fit for you!

About Roadrunner Vehicle Inspectors RVI:
We are the fastest growing independent vehicle inspection company in the country.  We've had relationships for over 15 years servicing auto auctions and dealerships across North America. Some of our clients include Cox Automotive or Manheim Auctions, KAR Global or ADESA auctions, America's Xlerate Auto Auctions, Auto-Vin, Backlot Cars, Carvana, General Motors Financial, Ally Bank, Smart Auction, Hertz and Enterprise Rental Car and many others. Our Corporate office is based out of Hendersonville, TN.
Our Inspectors, sometimes known as CR Writers are independent 1099 contractors paid by the number of vehicles they inspect each day.  We are known for being high volume vehicle inspectors.  The vehicles we inspect are all located on one lot for the most part at each assignment and we do not service the general public or vehicle inspections which take place at homes.  This makes for a very efficient day and productive day for earnings.
Our inspectors' average wages range from $72,000 -$125,000 once training and assessments are completed which is the equivalent of an hourly average of about $35-$60 or $1400-$2400 per week if production goals are met.  Your earnings are based on how efficient you are and how proficient you are with a handheld device to complete the inspection on.

Scope of Work:
Perform digital inspection (aka electronic condition report or CR) for each vehicle at assigned
facilities - car auctions or occasional retail sites.
Document the vehicle condition of the interior, exterior, trunk area, engine compartment and undercarriage of the vehicle, etc. using drop down menus and typing text
Correctly identify and document the vehicle details, including trim series, options, color, mileage, etc. using drop down menus or typing text.
Take overall photos of the interior/exterior of the vehicle, and photos of damages, undercarriage, odometer and keys with electronic device provided.

Requirements:

Must be able to start work within 14 days of interview

Dependable and reliable to show up on time for assignments

Attention to detail & quality and accuracy of inspection

Minimum of 20-25 inspections completed per day (once training and assessment period are met)

N.A.A.A structural expert (provided during training)
Helpful to have 2-3 year paint/body experience or insurance adjusting
Ability to work outdoors in various weather
Ability to follow all applicable safety and health related guidelines.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to stand, walk, or sit for prolonged period.
Ability to bend, stoop, squat or kneel as well as get under the vehicle to look for damage.
Ability to lift 30 lbs. jump boxes for example
Valid driver's license and good driving record
Authorization to work in Unites States of America.
Successful background and drug test required.

Work Schedule:
Monday through Sunday start times vary but approximately 7:30am-5pm (some assignments require weekends at various times of the year.  Discuss this with your Recruiter)

Job Type: Contract 1099 paid every two weeks or 15th and 30th of each month depending on location of assignment
Shift: Day Job
Travel: 100% out of state travel, we assist with hotel arrangements and expense (board and flight).  While we try to keep our inspectors close to home, we are rapidly growing and auctions typically ask us for help they weren't expecting until the last minute.  Therefore, it is a necessity to be able to travel up to 90% of the time out of state. If you are unwilling or unable to travel due to personal circumstances, this is probably not a good fit for you.

Training Rate: $15 per hour
Pay rate: Pay per vehicle.  Averages to be approximately $35-$60 per hour when production goals are met.  Most experienced inspectors earn approximately $72k-$125k annually.
