Job description

Position Summary
The Engineering Intern will support the Product Engineering team with product design, testing, documentation, process improvement, and cross-functional project work. This internship provides hands-on experience in a professional engineering environment and is ideal for a student who is eager to apply classroom knowledge to real-world product development, manufacturing, and continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist engineers with product design, development, testing, and validation activities.
  • Support creation and maintenance of engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, bills of materials, work instructions, and test reports.
  • Participate in troubleshooting product, process, quality, or manufacturing issues and help identify practical solutions.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data to support product performance, quality, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Use engineering tools, CAD software, spreadsheets, and other systems to complete assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, quality, purchasing, sales, and operations.
  • Assist with prototype builds, product testing, design reviews, and engineering change requests.
  • Observe and follow company safety procedures, quality standards, and workplace policies.
  • Prepare project updates, reports, presentations, or recommendations for review by engineering leadership.
  • Perform other engineering-related duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Design Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
Work Environment
This role may include time in both office and manufacturing environments. The intern may be required to stand, walk, sit, use a computer, review equipment or production processes, and follow all applicable safety requirements.
