Overview:
Title: SQL Server Developer
Location: Columbus, OH
Type: Contract
We are looking for a highly skilled Tech Lead with deep expertise in SQL Server and ETL development to lead technical initiatives while remaining hands on in design, development, and optimization.
This role combines leadership responsibilities with advanced technical execution to deliver high quality, scalable data solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
8 years of experience in SQL Server development and data engineering. Strong expertise in T-SQL, query optimization, indexing, and execution plan analysis.
Handson experience with ETL tools (SSIS or similar). Solid understanding of data warehousing, OLTP/OLAP concepts, and database design patterns.
Familiarity with Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, or other cloud data services. Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git).
Lead a technical team in designing and implementing database driven applications and ETL workflows. Perform hands-on development in SQL Server, including TSQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
Architect and optimize ETL pipelines using SSIS or equivalent tools. Troubleshoot performance issues, implement indexing strategies, and improve query efficiency.
Drive quality assurance, code reviews, and adherence to DevOps practices. Ensure best practices in database design, data modeling, and query optimization.
