What do intern sound engineers do?

As an Intern Sound Engineer, you can expect to assist with a variety of hands-on projects, such as setting up audio equipment for recording sessions, editing and mixing audio tracks, and performing sound checks for live events. You'll often work alongside senior engineers to troubleshoot technical issues, organize and maintain audio files, and occasionally participate in creative discussions about sound design. They typically work under the supervision of experienced sound engineers in environments such as recording studios, broadcast stations, or live event venues. Their duties may include setting up audio equipment, running cables, checking sound levels, and learning how to mix and edit audio. The internship provides valuable hands-on experience and exposure to industry-standard tools and practices, preparing them for more advanced roles in audio engineering.
