Shipping & Receiving Intern Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with receiving incoming shipments and verifying products against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Unload, inspect, and organize incoming inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items to warehouse leadership.
- Pick, pack, stage, and prepare outbound orders for shipment and delivery.
- Label and process shipments using warehouse management systems and shipping software.
- Verify order accuracy prior to shipment
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of received and shipped products.
- Support inventory organization and proper product storage.
- Maintain warehouse safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Learn and assist with warehouse equipment operations as trained and authorized.
- Cross-train in various warehouse functions to gain exposure to shipping, receiving, inventory control, and distribution operations.
- Assist with special projects and other warehouse-related duties as assigned.

Shipping & Receiving Intern Qualifications and Skills:
- Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a high school, technical school, college, or university program.
- Interest in logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations, or business-related fields.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliable transportation.
- Consistent work history and attendance record.
- Must meet company background check and drug screen requirements.
Shipping & Receiving Intern Working Conditions and Physical Demands Include:
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently.
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and move throughout the warehouse throughout the workday.
