What does an intern in seismic data processing do?

An Intern in Seismic Data Processing assists geophysicists and engineers in analyzing raw seismic data to create images of the Earth's subsurface. Typical tasks include data quality control, preprocessing, noise removal, and supporting the interpretation of seismic results using specialized software. This role helps develop technical and analytical skills in geoscience and is crucial in industries like oil and gas exploration or earthquake analysis. Interns often work on real datasets and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support exploration or research projects.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an intern in seismic data processing?
