Position Summary

The Security Operations Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events and incidents that flow through the Republic Services Operations Center (RSOC). The incumbent plays a critical part in protecting the organization against internal and external threats.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Monitor security alerts and logs from intelligence hub tools and other security technologies such as cameras and access control systems.
  • Conduct remote guarding patrols via security technology systems.
  • Communicate with site leaders regarding incident reports or potential security concerns at locations across the enterprise.
  • Conduct initial triage of safety, operational, and security incidents, escalating as needed, and coordinate response activities.
  • Investigate suspicious activities, primarily through CCTV, including unauthorized access attempts and insider threats.
  • Maintain and update incident response playbooks and standard operating procedures.
  • Quickly gather facts and document in incident reports. Provide updates as necessary.
  • Participate in security audits, compliance checks, and risk assessments.
  • Provide recommendations for security improvements and contribute to overall security strategy.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as assigned or apparent.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • 2–4 years of experience in Security, IT, Cyber Security, or related fields.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.
