Pay Range: $42.03 - $65.10/hour (Based on Experience) + Benefits
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $30,000 (Case-by-Case Basis)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a leading pediatric healthcare team in Houston, TX. This role offers the opportunity to care for critically ill children with congenital heart conditions and post-operative cardiac needs in a specialized, high-acuity environment.

The ideal candidate is passionate about pediatric critical care, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and is committed to delivering exceptional patient and family-centered care.


Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric cardiac patients.
  • Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient conditions.
  • Care for post-operative cardiac surgery patients and complex congenital heart cases.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and advanced nursing interventions.
  • Educate and support patients and families throughout the care journey.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical standards.


Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN); BSN required within 24 months of hire.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Pediatric ICU (PICU) RN experience in an acute care setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pediatric Cardiac ICU (CICU) experience.
  • Experience caring for post-operative cardiac surgery patients.
  • Children's Hospital experience.
  • CCRN Certification.
