Job description

Overview

NV5 is a provider of professional and technical engineering and consulting solutions to public and private sector clients in the infrastructure, energy, construction, program management and environmental markets.

We are looking for a student intern to support the Transportation group through design preparation. We work in a studio atmosphere where collaboration, flexibility, and self-motivation are important.

Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare designs and reports, perform calculations
  • CADD/Civil 3D /ORD
  • Interact and communicate with the project team, agencies, and possibly clients
  • Perform site visit fieldwork work as needed
  • Attend meetings
  • Provide assistance with specific project-related tasks
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil or Agricultural Engineering; Must be currently enrolled 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with appropriate supervision as well as work effectively as a team member
