The Design Engineering Technician is responsible for interpreting Architectural and MEP drawings in conjunction with internal cost estimates to accurately model and draft shop drawings for submittal, BOM production, and installation. Drafting scope is primarily Division 12 casework and tops, with possible scope in Divisions 09, 10, 11, 22, and related areas. This role interfaces with a variety of co-workers to help deliver the client's ideal result. 

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret architectural drawings to generate shop drawings for various project types and sizes.
  • Complete shop drawings in a timely manner and according to our company standards.
  • Manage project information, maintain notes and documentation, and ensure questions are answered when needed using our proprietary software.
  • Work competently in a deadline-driven remote environment that requires independent time management.
  • Independently solve problems in close coordination with members of the project team.

Qualifications:

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Revit as a modeling and data management tool.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS Office programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture, construction management, and/or 3+ years of drafting experience preferred.
