Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify students' emotional, social, and academic needs, collaborating with teachers and school administrators to develop intervention plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions remotely, addressing issues such as anxiety, grief, and coping strategies related to school stressors.
  • Facilitate workshops for students and families to educate them on mental health resources and effective coping mechanisms.
  • Coordinate with community organizations and resources to arrange post-intervention support services, ensuring a continuum of care for students after school hours.
  • Participate in school-based teams to evaluate and improve programs aimed at promoting students' emotional well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on the school-aged population, specifically targeting students experiencing stressors that impact their educational experience and overall mental health. Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
  • Current active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia.

Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare or educational setting, preferably working with children or adolescents.
