Intern Remote Clinical Sas Programmer information

What is an intern remote clinical SAS programmer?

An Intern Remote Clinical SAS Programmer is a trainee who assists in analyzing and managing clinical trial data using SAS software, while working remotely. Typically, this role involves supporting experienced clinical programmers in coding, validating datasets, and generating reports for clinical research studies. Interns gain hands-on experience with clinical data management, statistical programming, and compliance with regulatory standards. This position is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in pharmaceutical research, biostatistics, or data science.

What is the difference between Intern Remote Clinical Sas Programmer vs Clinical SAS Programmer?

AspectIntern Remote Clinical SAS ProgrammerClinical SAS Programmer
CredentialsTypically pursuing or recently completed relevant degree; less experience requiredUsually requires a degree in a related field; more experience preferred
Work EnvironmentRemote internship, often part-time or temporaryFull-time, often remote or on-site in clinical research settings
Employer & Industry UsageUsed by biotech/pharma companies for training and entry-level rolesUsed in clinical research organizations, pharmaceutical companies, and CROs

The main difference is that an Intern Remote Clinical SAS Programmer is an entry-level, often temporary role designed for learning and gaining experience, while a Clinical SAS Programmer is a more experienced professional responsible for developing and maintaining clinical data analysis programs. Interns typically have less experience and work under supervision, whereas Clinical SAS Programmers handle complex tasks independently.

Are SAS programmers in demand?

SAS programmers, including those in clinical and data analysis roles, are in steady demand due to the continued need for data management and statistical analysis in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and research industries. Skills in SAS programming, along with knowledge of clinical trial processes and regulatory requirements, enhance employability in this field.

What types of projects and responsibilities can I expect as an intern remote clinical SAS programmer?

As a remote clinical SAS programmer intern, you will typically assist in the preparation, validation, and analysis of clinical trial data. Your daily tasks may include writing and debugging SAS code, generating tables, listings, and figures for clinical study reports, and ensuring data compliance with regulatory standards. You'll likely collaborate closely with biostatisticians, data managers, and other programmers, often communicating via virtual meetings and project management tools. This role provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience with real-world clinical data and to develop technical and collaborative skills essential for future advancement in the pharmaceutical or clinical research industry.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an intern remote clinical SAS programmer, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Intern Remote Clinical SAS Programmer, you typically need a background in statistics, life sciences, or a related field, along with basic proficiency in SAS programming. Job description

Role Title: Biostatistician

Role Type: Contractor

Location: Remote

micro1 is engaging Biostatisticians to contribute to a customer's advanced project in AI benchmarking. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Scope of Work

  1. Design and author expert-level evaluation tasks simulating real-world biostatistics challenges, such as clinical trial analysis, regulatory submission reviews, and observational study assessments.
  2. Source, construct, and curate authentic datasets including trial data, patient records, and protocol documents for task use.
  3. Define correct methodological solutions and defensible clinical interpretations for each evaluation scenario.
  4. Develop comprehensive, 35+ item rubrics to evaluate AI agent performance with respect to methodological rigor and clinical reasoning.
  5. Ensure all tasks reflect the complexity and depth of real-world biostatistics practice, avoiding simplified or textbook-style examples.
  6. Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure deliverables align with regulatory and scientific standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. MS or PhD in biostatistics, statistics, or epidemiology.
  2. 4+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, contract research, hospital, or academic medical contexts.
  3. Demonstrated command of clinical study design, regulatory documentation, and observational research methodologies.
  4. Advanced proficiency in R, Python, SAS, or Stata applied to real clinical or epidemiological datasets.
  5. Strong attention to methodological detail, clinical interpretation, and regulatory sensitivity.
  6. Experience preparing submission-ready deliverables for regulatory agencies (e.g., FDA, EMA) is a plus.
  7. Excellent written communication skills and ability to author detailed grading rubrics and technical documentation.

Compensation Structure

Compensation is output-based; experts are paid per task that meets the project specifications. The time required to complete work may vary depending on the expert’s experience and workflow. Minimum submission requirements apply. Experts must submit a minimum of tasks per week.

Start Timeline & Availability
