Dramatic Education, Inc. is an educational arts company established to provide high-quality arts and enrichment programming for school-age students. The program develops and enriches cognitive, physical, social, and cultural skills for children in grades K–12. Annually, Dramatic Education serves over 5,000 individuals across more than 60 schools and community organizations. Since 2010, the organization has implemented developmentally appropriate programs that support academic achievement and whole-child development.

Certified Teacher – 21st Century Community Learning Centers (Before-School, After-School & Summer Programs) The 21st CCLC Certified Teacher provides direct academic instruction and enrichment services to actively participating students in after-school programming, ensuring full implementation of standards-aligned activities in accordance with the approved 21st CCLC grant plan, school-day priorities, and program performance objectives.This position is responsible for delivering targeted instruction in core content areas, supporting student achievement through project-based learning (PBL), academic interventions, and homework assistance, while fostering a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.
The Certified Teacher reports to the Site Coordinator and works collaboratively with Site Coordinators, school-day teachers, program staff, and families to align instruction, monitor student progress, and ensure program quality and grant fidelity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


The Teaching Artist Assistant supports the delivery of academic and enrichment programming aligned with 21st CCLC goals, including literacy, mathematics, and S.T.R.E.A.M.-based activities.
The Certified Teacher delivers high-quality, standards-aligned academic instruction in core subject areas, including literacy and mathematics, aligned with 21st CCLC goals and student achievement outcomes.
• The Certified Teacher implements project-based learning (PBL), enrichment activities, and differentiated
instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs.
• The Certified Teacher provides targeted academic interventions, small group instruction, and homework
assistance to reinforce school-day learning and improve student performance.
• The Certified Teacher collaborates with school-day teachers and program staff to align instruction with
identified student needs, curriculum priorities, and academic goals.
• The Certified Teacher monitors student progress and contributes to data collection, documentation, and
reporting requirements to ensure compliance with grant expectations.
• The Certified Teacher maintains a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that supports positive behavior and student engagement.

• The Certified Teacher engages families through Adult Family Member Events and supports communication
efforts to strengthen home-school connections.
• The Certified Teacher participates in program planning, staff meetings, and professional development to support continuous improvement and effective program implementation.
• The Certified Teacher ensures fidelity to the 21st CCLC model, including adherence to program schedules,
instructional expectations, and compliance requirements.


Job Requirements
• Valid State Teaching Certification required (Elementary or relevant content area).
• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience in a school or educational setting.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver standards-aligned instruction and differentiate learning for diverse student
populations.
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to create a positive, student-centered learning environment.
• CPR and First Aid Certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to successfully complete a Level 2 background check and drug screening.
• Candidates must be dependable, organized, and able to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families.

Monday through Friday (After-School Programming)
• After-school hours: Approximately 3 hours per day
• Program schedule aligns with the 21st CCLC calendar and school site needs
• After-school hours: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Summer programming hours may vary based on site needs
Compensation
• Hourly Rate: $31.00- $33.00 per hour
• Compensation is based on scheduled after-school instructional hours across the program year
