About the Role

Gold Key Auto Credit Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shop Foreman / Lead Technician to oversee daily operations in our Davenport service department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive technician ready to step into a leadership role while continuing to work hands-on.

The Shop Foreman will supervise a team of 4–6 technicians, coordinate workflow, ensure quality repairs, and act as the key point of contact between the service team and management.


Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of 4–6 automotive technicians.

  • Assist less experienced technicians with diagnostics, repairs, and professional development.

  • Manage repair orders and ensure accurate ticket creation in the shop management system.

  • Order, track, and organize parts to maintain shop efficiency.

  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure repairs meet company and industry standards.

  • Collaborate with service advisors and management to meet production goals and maintain customer satisfaction.

  • Promote and enforce a safe, clean, and organized work environment.


Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience.

  • Prior leadership or team lead experience in a shop environment preferred.

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills across multiple vehicle systems.

  • Familiarity with shop management software and repair ticket systems.

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • ASE certifications (preferred but not required).
