Job description

Position Summary
Qualified individual will review product to make sure that it complies with customer's requirements.
Tasks
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
  • Maintains specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions, inspecting parts and adjusting controls.
  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
  • Insure accuracy in maintaining production records such as quantities and types produced. (Example: travelers, timecards). Must be able to check parts to Quality Control Documents.
  • Must participate in all required training programs to maintain skill levels for continuous improvement. Must successfully complete training program.
  • Must be able to maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area and comply with all safety rules and procedures.
  • Must wear and maintain the required protective clothing and equipment including: safety glasses, steel toe safety shoes, and hearing protection. Additional protection may be needed like gloves or Kevlar sleeves.

Skills
  • Must be capable of reading blue prints and their application to the production part.
  • Must have knowledge of production processes and be able to read work process instructions.
  • Must be able to use a tape measure, digital calipers, and a square to ensure the accuracy of work.
  • Equipment Selection - Determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do the required job.
  • Quality Control Analysis - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be capable of occasional horizontal lift up to 75 pounds.

Experience and Education
  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
