Job description

Description

 This position is responsible to perform in-coming, in-process and final inspections of products such as PCBA's, machine parts, mechanical assemblies, purchased standard hardware, and the inspections of applied protective coatings. The position works closely with Test Engineering, Process Engineering, Design Engineering, Warehouse, and Manufacturing.

This position will also:

Inspect First Article builds submitted to quality for review and approval. 

Assist production when they are having a quality concern / problem to help determine if the product / material is not meeting the specification or determine if they are compliant.

Perform ESD audits as requested by the quality manager.

Perform ISO9001 audits in production and warehouse as requested by the quality manager.

Handle Document Control Activities as assigned such as reviewing/handling change management requests (ECOs and Deviations) and processing these when approved.

Requirements

1 - 3 years' experience in an electronics manufacturing environment or related industry

1+ year experience with quality inspection 

IPC-A-610 training

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Associate Degree in Technical field, preferred

Understanding of GD&T methods per ASME 14.5

Knowledge of common inspection measuring equipment including, but not limited to, surface plates, micrometers, height gauges, radius gauges, protractors, dial indicators, etc.

Blueprint reading and basic math skills; required to work from blueprints, assembly specifications and manufacturing work instructions on a regular basis

Ability to match and distinguish colors

Ability to use and accurately read measurements

Ability to effectively communicate at all levels across the organization

Ability to work independently and with minimal assistance

Strong attention to detail, highly organized, with the ability to work as a leader as well as a team player

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to meet physical requirements of the job including sitting and standing, and performing repetitive motions required for proper assembly with or without a reasonable accommodation

Ability to work well in a fast paced, changing environment

Ability to lift, push pool and carry materials up to 10 lbs,,

Ability to operate tools machinery or office equipment safely.

Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels.

Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
