Responsibilities
  • Join Amgen's Transformative Digital Capabilities organization within Process Development.
  • Partner with scientists, engineers, business stakeholders, and technology teams.
  • Drive data-informed decision making through analytics, visualization, data product development, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Contribute to data strategy, data accessibility, process optimization, digital products, and advanced analytics.
  • Design and develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Support the development and deployment of data products and analytics solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into analytical approaches.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis, trend analysis, and statistical modeling to support business objectives.
  • Support AI and machine learning initiatives through data preparation, analysis, and evaluation activities.
  • Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Participate in Agile project teams and support delivery of digital and analytics initiatives.
Requirements
  • Master’s degree OR Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Data Science experience OR Associate’s degree and 6 years of Data Science experience OR High school diploma / GED and 8 of Data Science experience
  • Experience applying data science, analytics, or statistical methods to solve business problems.
  • Experience with SQL and data analysis tools.
  • Experience creating dashboards and visualizations using Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with Python, R, or related analytical programming languages.
  • Understanding of data governance, data quality, and data management principles.
  • Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or generative AI concepts and applications.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and Agile environments.
  • Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, or other regulated industries is preferred.
