Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst, you will help to ensure that we have the required information from various sources for the team to analyze risk on the portfolio. You will work closely with the Risk Analytics Manager and other Risk Analysts to provide the required data and analytics for monitoring the risk and return profile of new business written.

Education

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a computer science, Information Technology.

Recommended Knowledge and Skills

3-7 years of experience in Data analytics, ETL, AWS, Hadoop, Tableau • Experience in pulling data from various sources and creating dashboards.

Strong expertise in SAS, R, Python, Tableau

Familiarity with mortgage credit risk

Ability to dig in to trends and do research on data challenges independently

Provide recommendations for system and process improvements/enhancements; work with IT to implement and test system and process enhancements • Apply strong analytical skillset and commercial insight to understand the commercial impact of policy decisions

Good understanding of credit risk or mortgage credit risk, knowledge of Mortgage insurance would be great

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with an ability to create clear and concise communication are required.

Possess creativity and can think outside of the box.

Desire to accept new challenges in unfamiliar territory.

Communicate effectively at all levels of an organization.

Interdisciplinary knowledge including finance, economics, and statistics is an added advantage.

Knowledge of various statistical techniques and having experience with statistical models (Logistic/linear Regressions, Boosting/bagging, Clustering, CHAID/Classification trees etc.) is helpful.

A passion for data integrity and close attention to detail is a must! Location: Onsite at Milwaukee office, 3 days a week
