Position Overview

ReefPoint Group is seeking Data Scientists and Senior Data Analysts to support advanced analytics, decision support, and mission-focused data initiatives for federal clients.


This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy solving complex problems using data and translating analytical findings into meaningful operational insight. We are seeking candidates who can work across the full analytics lifecycle โ€” from understanding business and mission needs to analyzing data, developing models, and communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Successful candidates will bring strong analytical thinking, experience working with complex datasets, and the ability to support decision-making in fast-paced and mission-driven environments.


What You'll Do
  • Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to identify patterns, trends, and operational insights
  • Develop analytical models and data-driven recommendations to support mission and business objectives
  • Support predictive analytics, statistical analysis, and advanced analytical efforts
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand operational questions and translate them into analytical solutions
  • Develop dashboards, visualizations, and decision-support products where appropriate
  • Clean, validate, and prepare data to support high-quality analysis
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Support data modernization and analytics initiatives within federal environments
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation, and analytical best practices
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Public Health, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in data analysis, analytics, or data science roles
  • Experience using analytical tools or languages such as Python, R, SQL, or comparable technologies
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting complex datasets
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in client-facing and cross-functional environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting federal agencies including VA, DoD, DHA, or civilian agencies
  • Experience with predictive analytics, statistical modeling, or machine learning techniques
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other visualization platforms
