Position Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making within a fast-paced financial services environment. This role focuses on developing insightful dashboards, performing data analysis, and supporting system testing and business requirements documentation.
We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!.
This role is located at a client site in either Reston, VA or Washington, DC. A hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making within a fast-paced financial services environment. This role focuses on developing insightful dashboards, performing data analysis, and supporting system testing and business requirements documentation.
You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex data into meaningful insights, leveraging tools like Tableau, SQL, and Python. The position also involves system analysis, testing, and collaboration within Agile teams to meet evolving business needs. Familiarity with cloud environments-particularly AWS-is a plus, as the organization continues to modernize its data ecosystem.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. 5+ years of relevant experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or system analysis
. Strong hands-on experience with Tableau for dashboarding and data visualization
. Solid working knowledge of SQL for querying and data analysis
. Comfortable using Python for data manipulation or automation (nice to have, but useful)
. Exposure to Power BI or Power Automate is helpful, though not mandatory
. Experience with system analysis and software testing, including tools like JIRA
. Ability to gather and interpret business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
. Strong documentation skills-able to clearly capture requirements, test cases, and findings
. Proficiency with MS Office tools, especially for reporting and analysis
. Clear and professional written communication skills
. Ability to work effectively in distributed/virtual teams
. Comfortable managing tight deadlines and shifting priorities in an Agile setting
. Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot issues independently
. Confident presenting insights or findings in a way that stakeholders can easily understand
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $99,200.00 - $137,100.00.
