Job description

Job Summary:
Scalence L.L.C. is seeking a Risk Reporting Analyst to migrate legacy, Excel-heavy residual value models and portfolio trackers into modern, automated data pipelines and business intelligence tools. The role requires combining asset risk knowledge with strong data engineering skills to enhance reporting speeds and improve portfolio risk insights.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct a thorough evaluation of existing processes by developing clear process maps with inputs/ dependencies, outputs, constraints etc.
• Partner with IT to design, build, and maintain robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to ingest data/ metrics directly into a centralized data warehouse. Centralize internal lease data with external third-party market valuation APIs (e.g., J.D. Power, Black Book, Manheim).
• Replace manual spreadsheet reports with dynamic, interactive, and self-service dashboards using Tableau.
• Conduct necessary testing to ensure smooth transition between reporting platforms.
• Map out legacy spreadsheet logic and draft comprehensive documentation for the newly automated systems to ensure data governance compliance.
• Upskill team members on how to interpret, navigate, and utilize the new BI reporting tools.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, or a quantitative field.
• Experience: 3 years of experience in financial risk analysis, asset management, or data analytics, with a proven track record of migrating systems away from Excel.
• Technical Mastery: Advanced SQL, SAS and Python (Pandas, NumPy)
• BI Tools: Expert-level Tableau.
• Domain Knowledge: Understanding of automotive leasing structures, residual value risk, used car market dynamics, vehicle remarketing channels (customer, auctions, dealer), and vehicle segmentation.
• Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred:
• Advanced Client Excel to understand and dismantle existing models.
• Excellent communication skills to guide non-technical teams through technological transitions.
