POSITION SUMMARY: This position will learn and observe various aspects and trends in a Caterpillar dealership. The primary function is to complete tasks assigned and to ask questions to improve and increase the knowledge about the Power Systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Understands the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of the Power Systems Division.
  2. Rotates through HPS divisions to better understand the Power Systems business.
  3. Accepts designated, business-focus projects to research, propose ideas and solutions.
  4. Learns and becomes proficient on internal software systems specific to the industry.
  5. Assists with daily tasks by department.
  6. Learning technical skills related to the industry.
  7. Perform any job that may be assigned as necessary to meet the company, department or individual goals and objectives

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  1. High School Diploma preferred.
  2. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  3. A desire to learn and take initiative with problem solving.

4.PC skills required.
5.Must have a valid California Class C Driver's License.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  1. Walking and moving about on foot often up and down stairs.
  2. Handling: Works with hands.
  3. Lifting: May lift up to 30 lbs.
  4. Reaching: Extends hands and arms in any direction.
  5. Stooping: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.
  6. Standing: Remains in standing position, if required to perform various functions of the job.
  7. Vision: Reads paperwork, and records on the computer.
  8. Talking: Communicates via telecommunications and in person.

ENVIRONMENTAL:
  1. Noise: Works in conditions with constant or intermittent noise.
  2. Temp/Weather: Works in a warehouse and outside with variations of temperature and weather.
  3. Exposure: Foul odors, fumes, and harsh substances.
