What you will do:

The Framer is responsible for constructing and assembling wood-framed structures in accordance with construction plans, engineering drawings, and project specifications. This role performs structural framing, layout, and installation activities while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity. Working as part of a construction crew, the Framer contributes to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and light industrial building projects. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and takes pride in delivering quality craftsmanship in a fast-paced construction environment.

Structural Framing & Construction

  • Construct, assemble, and install wood framing systems according to blueprints, engineering drawings, and project specifications
  • Frame walls, floors, roofs, and other structural building components
  • Measure, mark, cut, and install lumber and framing materials accurately
  • Verify framing dimensions, layout, and alignment throughout the construction process
  • Assist with installation of structural sheathing and related framing components

Blueprint Interpretation & Layout

  • Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and framing layouts
  • Follow project specifications, measurements, and installation requirements
  • Verify material quantities and dimensions before installation
  • Communicate project questions or discrepancies to supervisors promptly

Tools & Equipment

  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and other construction equipment
  • Inspect tools and equipment before use and report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition
  • Follow proper operating procedures for all construction equipment

Job Site Operations

  • Work efficiently with framing crews to meet production schedules and project deadlines
  • Assist with loading, unloading, staging, and organizing building materials
  • Maintain organized, clean, and professional jobsites
  • Support other construction activities as business needs require

Safety & Quality

  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and PPE requirements
  • Promote a safety-first culture by identifying and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions
  • Ensure completed work meets company quality standards and project specifications
  • Participate in required safety meetings and job training
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Strong knowledge of residential or commercial framing techniques

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Experience with wall panels, roof systems, or structural framing is a plus
  • Work is performed primarily on active construction jobsites
  • Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and seasonal elements
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, kneel, crouch, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift and carry building materials weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Frequent use of hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and construction equipment
  • May require overtime, weekend work, or travel between jobsites based on project schedules
