Job description

ASRC Federal NetCentric Technology, LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer - Power Distribution to support ongoing activities on our KEOS contract at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Job Summary:

  • The Electrical Engineer โ€“ Power Distribution will support the sustainment of mission critical facilities and infrastructure at Kirtland AFB to ensure our customersโ€™ continued mission success.
  • This position prepares design documentation to include, but not limited to: Statements of Work, specifications, drawings, sketches, calculations and building code references.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs duties as Subject Matter Expert (SME) throughout the lifecycle of projects (existing conditions investigation, design through construction completion). These duties include evaluating and recommending approval of submittals; providing technical approach assessments; developing modification packages when necessary.
  • Reviews plans and detail drawings for construction of new and maintenance, removal or rearrangement of existing, overhead or underground lines, cables and conduits.
  • Determines routing of lines and equipment.
  • Prepares and coordinates the plans and schedules for new or existing work.
  • Formulates and recommends new or corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a program certified by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
  • 8-10 Years Experience.
  • Possess competent and effective computer skills to include using Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Be able to prepare and present presentations/briefings to the Air Force client.
  • Have or be able to obtain a Professional Electrical Engineer License in one of the US states or territories within one year of hire date.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Must have proficient English oral and written communication skills sufficient to effectively communicate with employees, management, and customers.ย 
  • Must be a US citizen and currentlyย possessย or be able to obtain/maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.ย 
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen.
  • Must maintain a valid US driver's license.
  • Be committed to providing for and maintaining a safe working environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Currently possess a Professional Electrical Engineer License in one of the US states or territories.
  • Experience working in a military environment.
  • Five years' experience in facility and infrastructure design.
