Job Summary:

Position is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and availability of equipment, supplies, and beverages and food items in the café and employee dining room. Position is also responsible for delivery of room service trays for dinner.

This position pays $20.00/hr and will fill in as needed.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare and set up food items on serving line prior to lunch and dinner in an attractive manner, ensuring equipment is functioning properly and food is at the correct temperature.
  • Restock and monitor beverages, foods, supplies, dishes, silver for adequate availability; coordinate stocking needs with other department staff as needed throughout the meals.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the department as per departmental sanitation guidelines - "CLEAN AS YOU GO."
  • Collect and prepare soiled dishes for cleaning through dish machine.
  • Restock and monitor soda machine, milk box and coffee machines.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of serving areas and employee dining room in accordance with departmental sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Previous food service experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer services skills required.
  • Must be able to work 4-5 shifts per week, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must have ability to effectively communicate in English, including reading and writing.
  • Must demonstrate compassion when interacting with others, including co-workers, customers and visitors.
  • Must be able to work as a team player.
