Our Internship Program allows students to get quality hands-on experience while also providing an opportunity to explore a career with the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office. Students who are applying must attach the required documents to the application: Statement explaining the motivation, interest and goals for applying to the program Current academic transcripts Personal resume Qualifications The Internship Program has three semesters: spring (January-April), summer (May-August) and fall (September-December).

Interested students must meet the following qualifications at the time of application in order to be considered for the program: Be at least 19 years old Be working on an undergraduate in criminal justice, psychology, social work or any field related to the functions of a large organization, from an accredited college or university. (Must have taken at least 2 classes towards desired major) Must be fulfilling an academic credit Have a minimum 2.8 GPA. Recommendation from faculty advisor Have an interest in law enforcement and/or public safety Successful completion of background investigation Be highly motivated and responsible
