Job description

The CEI Inspector/Engineer Intern assists Senior Inspectors and Senior Engineer Interns in monitoring and documenting construction activities for transportation projects. This role is ideal for candidates pursuing a career in civil engineering, construction management, or transportation inspection. **SIGNING BONUS**

Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Candidates with engineering, engineering technology, or construction management degrees must demonstrate the ability to obtain required certifications within one year

  • Candidates without related degrees must have:

    • Two (2) years of construction inspection experience

    • One (1) year specifically in bridge and/or roadway construction

Experience For Degree‑Holding Candidates
  • Must be able to earn all required qualifications within 12 months

  • Engineer Intern classification requires an EI certificate

For Non‑Degree Candidates
  • Must meet the 2‑year inspection experience requirement

  • At least 1 year must involve bridge or roadway work

(These may be obtained within 6 months of hire with an approved training plan and supervision by a Senior Inspector or Senior Engineer Intern.)
