Position Overview: 

As our Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will provide support to Process Engineering tasks and projects in a team environment to ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of these activities to meet customer expectations.

Location:

On-site in Euclid, Ohio

Your Day to Day as a Manufacturing Engineer Intern: 

  • Adhere to contract technical requirements while developing, and maintaining, step-by-step process plans in the manufacturing of Control Rod Drive Mechanisms.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes and implement improvements to ensure processes are safe, maintain high quality and are performed efficiently to meet delivery and cost requirements.
  • Generate SAP routings based on step-by-step process plans.
  • Assist in developing CAD drawings detailing step-by-step process plans, process fixturing, process tooling, and process setup instructions.
  • Assist in design, development, test/source, and cost-justify various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
  • Work with other internal departments, customer and vendors to resolve issues encountered during the manufacturing process.
  • Propose, support and participate in continuous improvement projects to improve safety, quality, delivery or cost.
  • Other engineering tasks and responsibilities as required.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
  • Basic familiarity with engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing.
  • Strong communications skills, and ability to work with multiple disciplines in support of manufacturing production hardware.
  • Microsoft Office, SAP, TopSolid, Siemens NX, Vericut, and Crash Guard Studio experience is preferred.

 Pay: $29.83

The starting hourly rate for this position in Ohio (US-OH) is expected to be $29.83 per hour.  The hourly rate offered is based on local job market factors and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify the hourly rate (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation, or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or applicable department/team performance, and other market factors.
