We are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our compassionate care team at Do It For Yourself Wellness & Marriage & Family Counseling. In this full-time remote position, you will play a pivotal role in providing valuable support and treatment to individuals and families navigating complex life challenges, particularly focusing on divorce and relationship counseling.

Do It For Yourself Wellness & Marriage & Family Counseling is a dedicated outpatient clinic located in the vibrant city of San Francisco, California. This role is designed for a remote work setting, allowing you to effectively deliver therapy services from any location while maintaining a work-life balance. • Conduct thorough assessments of clients, evaluating the intensity, frequency, and duration of their symptoms, and understanding their unique personal contexts.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect clients’ goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address mood disorders and relationship issues.
• Offer psychoeducation to clients and their families, empowering them with knowledge about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
• Regularly track client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to deliver integrated and comprehensive care.
• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in the field of marriage and family therapy to enhance treatment techniques.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to refine your skills.
• Advocate for clients by addressing mental health stigma and ensuring their unique needs are met compassionately and effectively.

Your expertise will primarily benefit individuals and families grappling with relationship dynamics, divorce, and mood disorders. You will engage with a diverse clientele encompassing a variety of backgrounds, allowing you to utilize culturally sensitive approaches tailored to each individual's needs.

• An active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to establish secure and trusting therapeutic relationships with clients through strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exhibiting empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude toward clients' experiences and struggles is a must.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to ensure effective management of workloads and administrative tasks.

Preferred candidates will possess a background in working with clients experiencing divorce, relationship challenges, and mood disorders. Experience in using evidence-based therapeutic practices will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

• Annual salary range of USD 115,000 – 130,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
