This position is typically held by graduate students or recent graduates who are accruing the necessary hours of practice under the supervision of a licensed professional. MFT Trainees provide therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families while they gain hands-on experience. Familiarity with clinical documentation systems, telehealth platforms, and supervision protocols is often expected. Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and active listening are crucial for building therapeutic alliances and working effectively with clients and supervisors. These skills are essential for delivering effective therapy, maintaining ethical standards, and progressing towards licensure in the field.

What types of supervision and support can an Intern MFT Trainee expect during their practicum experience?
