WORKING CONDITIONS

A majority of time will be spent in an office environment. The individual must be able to speak and communicate clearly, both orally and in writing. Due to the amount of documentation that is required, the individual must have excellent writing skills. The intern may be required to sit for extended periods and will spend a portion of their time on the telephone. Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, and lift and push minimal loads at various times. A considerable amount of time may also be spent working on a computer so the intern should have close vision ability. In addition, the individual must be able to operate basic office equipment.

Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Interns must be currently pursuing a Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy. Prior to beginning internship, the candidate must obtain license in the State of Ohio as a Social Work Trainee (SWT), Counseling Trainee (CT), or Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee (MFTT). If seeking a Practicum placement, must be willing to commit to remaining at Riveon Mental Health and Recovery through the duration of their internship (the full school year).

Prior experience in assessment, crisis intervention, conducting long and short-term therapy and counseling or other experience in the treatment of mental health/addictions are preferred. Must have strong oral and written skills. Basic computer skills required, including familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office.
