Job Title: Mainframe Applications Engineer Location: Greenbelt, Maryland Type: Contract-to-Hire Work Model: Onsite Hours: 40.0 Security Clearance: Active IRS MBI Clearance Contact: Crystal.Dinnocenti@systemone.com RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain Mainframe applications with expertise in IMF tax processing and Masterfile processing
- Utilize TDOL domain expertise to support application development and modernization efforts
- Perform programming and operational maintenance using ALC, JCL, COBOL, C, C++, Java, and CICS
- Lead testing and transmittals, including test planning, execution, and documentation using ALC, JCL, COBOL, C/C++, DB2, and Java
- Participate in SDLC activities, including requirements gathering, documentation, and requirements analysis using OneSDLC and ELC/OneSDLC artifacts
- Provide troubleshooting and support for complex Mainframe applications in an Agile environment
- 10+ years of experience with IMF tax processing and Masterfile processing
- 10+ years of expertise in ALC, JCL, COBOL, C, C++, Java development and O&M
- Extensive experience with JCL, COBOL, C/C++, Java, CICS, DB2, ALC programming, and modernization support
- 5+ years of experience with OpenText Exstream (or equivalent) including DM/Live Editor and scripting
- Strong knowledge of XML/XSLT, Jira, and Agile methodologies
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently in complex environments
