Overview

To gain valuable insight into Navy Federal's business, technology, resources and procedures by providing support in focused areas, applying knowledge and education. Participate in a collaborative, team driven network and interact with multiple departments. Receive guidance and direction from team and management. Utilize and further develop technical and soft skills, business knowledge, analytical techniques and creative problem solving abilities. Provide professional execution of day to day tasks and special projects while working within established standards, policies and procedures. This is a year-round, Full or Part -Time, flexible internship based on school schedule.


Lending Service Support is responsible for access management across the Lending department in support of teams such as Consumer, Collections, Credit Cards and Mortgage Default. We provide fast, reliable, and friendly technical support to our Lending customers through swift and correct resolution of submitted tickets, access provisioning, and the monitoring of alerts 24/7.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, research and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts/loans
  • Ensure software/systems meet regulatory and procedural requirements
  • Help to develop and recommend enhancements to improve operational processes and procedures
  • Help identify and detect errors/omissions and operational issues; resolve or make recommendations/arrange for the resolution; monitor results for long term viability
  • Involved in cross-organizational task groups concerning new automated systems, products, services, processes and procedures
  • Perform research for process improvements
  • Analyze adherence to departmental standards
  • Recommend corrective action when discrepancies occur
  • Resolve issues relating to General Ledger accounts and/or Navy Federal systems
  • Test and implement software and/or processes
  • Work with other business units to resolve systems and equipment issues
  • Exercise good judgement and perform higher level functions, as appropriate
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university
  • Ability to exercise initiative and good judgment to make sound decisions
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies
  • Ability to follow, interpret and apply relevant data/instructions to guidelines, procedures, practices and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Skill navigating multiple screens and PC applications and adapting to new technologies
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Effective research, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Effective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science and/or Information Technology
  • Experience and knowledge of coding languages (C+, python, Java, SQL)
