Responsibilities
The TikTok Engineering Test team has been focusing on testing and delivering innovative and high quality core product features of the TikTok application. The team's goal is to facilitate successful release of TikTok features and enhancements from development to production through effective testing delivering continuous quality at speed. The team comprises of Software Engineers in Test with a mix of experienced and midlevel engineers. The individuals on the team are self-starters driving large scale initiatives within and with peer organizations. We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2026. Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real-world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. It runs for 12 weeks. Responsibilities 1. Actively participate in the entire product development lifecycle, collaborating with product managers and developers to deliver high-quality products through functional testing, automation, performance testing, security testing, stability monitoring, and process improvement. 2. Improve product quality and user experience through quality and efficiency data analysis. 3. Develop tools or platforms to enhance development efficiency and refine quality assurance strategies. 4. Contribute to the planning and construction of the quality system, and implement innovative testing methods such as automation, unattended testing, intelligent testing, and fault drills.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification(s): 1. Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field. 2. Familiar with Java/Python/Objective-C/Golang, experience in related project development. 3. Fluent in Python 4. Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment. 5. Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2026. 6. As a condition of employment, all successful candidates must be able to establish authorization to work in the United States. For this position, the Company does not provide sponsorship or any immigration-related benefits. Preferred Qualification(s): 1. Graduating December 2026 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship. 2. Good understanding of RPC/REST API web services 3. Good understanding of software development cycle, and software quality and testing 4. Fluent in Python 5. [For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Hourly) - Campus Intern
The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $35- $35.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
