Job description

Who are we?

At Tradeweb, weโ€™re constantly moving forward. We were the first to electronify the bond market, and weโ€™ve been innovating ever since. Come join our team and find out what it means to lead the way into the future of electronic trading. Collaborate with our creative thinkers who have vision and drive, and learn how you too can make an impact of your own.

Whatโ€™s in it for you?

As an intern, you wonโ€™t just be along for the ride. Youโ€™ll work with our technologists and business experts to gain practical, handsโ€‘on experience that you can actually use. Our program combines traditional classroomโ€‘settings with projectโ€‘based work where you can get involved with the products and services the firm is working on. Along the way, youโ€™ll have guidance from people at all levels of the organization so you can start to build a longโ€‘lasting professional network and build relationships with the intern class through interactive outings and projects.

Who will you work for?

You will be working for one of our Infrastructure teams. The infrastructure team as a whole is responsible for building and modernizing the core systems that power Tradeweb Directโ€™s electronic bond trading platform, helping move critical logic into reliable, maintainable Java services and maintaining the health and reliability of those systems. Additionally, the team works closely with Bondworks / Portfolio Solutions, Titan, QA, DevOps, and Trade Support teams. Daily work or projects include building across the stack with our engineering team, helping modernize legacy systems into maintainable services, gaining exposure to deploying and supporting those services, helping investigate reliability issues, and exploring ways to use and optimizing AI to improve.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or Masterโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.

  • Knowledge of modern software languages โ€“ C, C++, Java, Python

  • A background or interest in building largeโ€‘scale, realโ€‘time, and distributed applications is desired.

  • Willing to take ownership of his/her work, working both independently and within a small team.

  • Detail-oriented.

  • A passion for technology.

  • Exceptional problemโ€‘solving skills.

  • Working knowledge of Java

  • Understanding of SQL / relational databases

  • Exposure to AI through coursework or projects

About Tradeweb Markets:

As financial markets become increasingly interconnected, our technology enables efficient, multiโ€‘asset trading on a global scale. We serve more than 3,000 clients in more than 85 countries, including many of the worldโ€™s largest banks, asset managers, hedge funds, insurers, corporations, and wealth managers.

Since our IPO in 2019, Tradeweb has completed four acquisitions and doubled our revenues โ€“ and 2025 was our 26th consecutive year of record revenues.

Tradeweb plays a central role in modernizing market structure by developing innovative trading protocols, embedding analytics into execution, and building technology infrastructure that supports the convergence of traditional and digitally native financial markets. Tradeweb is a great place to work, recognized in 2025 by Forbes as one of Americaโ€™s Best Companies and by U.S. News & World Report as one of the Best Financial Services Companies to Work For.

Tradeweb Markets LLC (\"Tradeweb\") is proud to be an EEO Minorities/Females/Protected Veterans/Disabled/Affirmative Action Employer.

Workplace Posters | U.S. Department of Labor

The current pay range for this role if performed in the city of New York is currently $35-$75 hourly based on a regular, fullโ€‘time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, geographic location, and internal guidelines.

At Tradeweb, we believe some of the best ideas come from looking at challenges with a fresh perspective. During your internship, youโ€™ll be encouraged to explore how AI and emerging technologies can be applied within your area of the business. Whether through dedicated project work or your dayโ€‘toโ€‘day responsibilities, youโ€™ll have opportunities to think differently, challenge existing processes, and contribute ideas that can help shape how we work in the future.
