  • You’re a motivated student with a current 3.0 GPA or higher currently pursuing a degree in one of the following areas from an accredited college or university:
    • Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science
  • This is a paid, full-time, 11-week internship designed to give you real-world experience and meaningful exposure to the telecommunications industry in your chosen field.
  • Internship program runs from May 26 through August 6, 2027.
  • In addition to role-specific projects, you’ll take part in professional development sessions, networking opportunities, mentorship and experiences that help you grow personally and professionally.

What you can expect in this role  

As a Spectrum intern, you’ll spend the summer working alongside two teams: your respective department and your intern cohort.

Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on internship experiences that include a kickoff conference, professional development sessions and networking activities, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects and final presentations.

This experience is designed to help you explore your interests, expand your network and leave with a deeper understanding of both your field and the impact of our business.

Internship responsibilities may include:

  • We develop software solutions for workforce management, technician scheduling, and dispatch tools that power Spectrum's field operations — coordinating 25,000 technicians serving millions of customers daily. Our team leverages a modern technology stack and AI-driven tools to analyze patterns, build intelligent solutions, and continuously improve how field operations are managed at enterprise scale.
  • You will build features using modern development tools including AI-assisted coding environments and pattern analysis, working across the full technology stack spanning web applications, APIs, databases, and cloud services.
  • Participate in the complete software development lifecycle from requirements and design through development, testing, and deployment, collaborating with experienced engineers on real business problems.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor’s degree
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
  • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
