Associate Manager, Back-End Developer


Avanade is seeking an Associate Manager, Back-End Developer to design, develop, and automate enterprise business functionality using technologies such as .NET, Java, or JavaScript. This role leverages cloud platforms and DevOps practices to build scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will also contribute to conceptual architecture and solution design, while leading end-to-end development to deliver solutions aligned with client requirements.

What you'll do
Build and automate features and services that model complex business problems and support enterprise-scale systems
Design and implement APIs and microservices, integrating with external systems and managing end-to-end development-from database design and data access to ORM frameworks
Develop scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure
Apply modern engineering and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and automated testing
Collaborate with global and offshore teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with client requirements
Act as a key point of contact for clients, translating business needs into technical solutions
Contribute to solution architecture and design, ensuring alignment with best practices and business goals
Maintain accountability for the timeliness, accuracy, and quality of deliverables, while meeting chargeability and training targets

Skills and experiences
3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a technology or consulting environment
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Technical Expertise (Intermediate to Advanced):
Programming: C#/.NET or Java
Service Development: RESTful APIs, Microservices, ASP.NET Core, Azure API Management, Azure API Apps
Cloud (Azure): Compute, Storage, and PaaS services (App Services, Web Apps, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Cognitive Services)
Data & ORM: SQL Server, Azure SQL, Entity Framework or Hibernate
Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, AKS
DevOps: Git, Azure DevOps, Maven, Jenkins
RPA (nice to have): Blue Prism, UiPath, Automation Anywhere
Core Capabilities:
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), quality assurance, and project management principles
Proven ability to design and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to quickly understand client processes and translate business needs into technical solutions
Experience working with distributed, global, and offshore teams
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to set direction and guide team members
Up-to-date knowledge of Microsoft technologies and ecosystem
