Job description

Role: Java Backend Developer
Location: Boston, MA - Hybrid
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop robust, scalable RESTful APIs and backend services
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested Java code
  • Work with Spring Boot / Spring MVC frameworks
  • Design and optimize database schemas (SQL & NoSQL)
  • Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards
  • Write unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito)
  • Collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD pipelines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve backend performance issues
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies

Required Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Java (8/11/17)
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security
  • Experience with RESTful API design and development
  • Knowledge of Hibernate / JPA
  • Proficiency in SQL (MySQL / PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB / Redis)
  • Familiarity with Microservices Architecture
  • Experience with Git version control
  • Knowledge of Maven / Gradle
  • Understanding of Docker / Kubernetes basics
