SUMMARY
The Analyst, Solutions provides solutions and analysis to business/IT issues by researching trending issues to find a root cause and help business users with IT related functions/applications.  Supports existing features and technologies.  Assists business partners across multiple departments to develop and implement solutions, ranging from one person solutions to large software implementations, to achieve their objectives, utilize a range of IT resources, vendors, and business partners.  Applies professional principles, practices, and techniques to deliver solutions within scope and cost, based on thorough requirements, gathering work estimation, and quality assurance testing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Thoroughly involved in the solution and project delivery, which includes constant review and adherence to plans, budgets, scope, and charters.
  • Anticipates risks and needs to quickly consider impact and decide how to best utilize departmental resources in a creative, cost effective manner. Selects and recommends mitigation strategies that meet business needs.
  • Works with the teams across multiple departments and vendor partners to help facilitate solutions. Validates tests, and implements solution ensuring they are operating successfully. This includes supporting tax rate validations and implementation.
  • Coordinates and assists with quality assurance and user acceptance testing.
  • Manages different systems, creates, manages, and deletes accounts and users from systems. Keeps track of access level of users for IT audit. Conducts user audit control. Manages day-to-day tasks of systems.
  • Point of contact and subject matter expert for systems solutions, questions, and issues for the organization. Shares troubleshooting and solution knowledge with other teams and colleagues. Creates IT training and process flow documents. Acts as a liaison between end-users and the technology teams.
  • Manages back-end maintenance of all systems, technical support, and support business processes. Develops automated solutions utilizing assigned computer applications.
  • Recommends technological improvements to increase business efficiencies.
  • Researches and resolves issues that are escalated from the Help Desk and other teams, like research and recovery of missing POS Transactions.
  • Maintains and develops database jobs and back-office platforms like the POS database for clearance prices and integrity checks.
  • Supports different systems, finds solutions to issues and problems, and work as a system administrator for different systems.
  • Develops and documents new functionality or integration requests from business partners in Business Process Documents and Functional Requirements Documents. Coordinates with project managers and quality assurance teams as needed to find solutions.
  • Leads projects when there is a shortage of resources. Works as a project manager assignments. Participates in complex and higher visibility projects and/or tasks, relevant to assigned area of responsibility.
  • Creates a variety of reports to meet business-user needs for frequent end-user meetings and status reports.
  • Supports departments through data requests and some employee process management as it relates to the IT systems.
  • Presents project projections, plans, and updates to senior IT and business leadership. Creates, builds, and maintains partnerships with all levels of the organization ensuring collaborative system changes and enhancements.
  • Executes integration planning from technology pilots.
  • Protects the company's assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management and/or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.
  • On call duties: After hours and weekends.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • No supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Two - four years of related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of subject support areas/systems.
  • Organizational skills, prioritization, and communication skills.
  • Proficient SQL skills, skilled in performing basic programming using applicable languages.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with Oracle Retail products and platforms such as Merchandising (RMS, ReIM, MFCS, ReSA), Planning and Forecasting Systems (IPO), Oracle Store Systems (Xstore, Locate, Relate), Order Management and Financial Accounting systems. 
  • Proficient with Data Architecture and Master Data Management principles 
  • Proficient skills in the use of analytical tools: SQL, MicroStrategy, and Alteryx as examples 
  • Understanding and experience with Oracle APEX development, Spring, Java, Cloud Migration (Azure), and Kubernetes are also a plus 
  • Strong visual design skills used in creating information-dense, easy-to-understand workflow and system diagrams 
  • Working experience in software and/or business solution architecture design 
  • Expert skills in problem-solving, process definition, and analysis 
  • Candidate should demonstrate exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills. The ability to prioritize and deliver work items in a fast-paced project-oriented environment will be key to thriving in this position
