Job description

Sr. Java Developer
Contract: 12 months renewable
Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
*****No 3rd Parties - Candidates MUST be US Citizen or Green Card Holder for this role*****
We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to support enterprise applications focused on critical business operations, modernization initiatives, backend development, API integrations, reporting enhancements, and production support within a Java/Spring environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong enterprise Java experience, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, and be comfortable supporting applications throughout the full software development lifecycle.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in enterprise Java development using OOP principles and J2EE technologies
  • Proven experience developing RESTful APIs and web services using Spring-based frameworks
  • Strong SQL development and performance optimization experience in relational database environments
  • Experience with Spring transaction management, security, and AOP concepts
  • Experience implementing unit testing using JUnit and standard testing methodologies
  • Experience troubleshooting production issues and performing root cause analysis
  • Experience supporting applications across development, QA, and production environments
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices, code quality standards, and application security
  • Ideally 4+ years of Angular experience
  • 3+ years of Crystal Reports experience
  • 3+ years of Power BI experience

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise Java applications supporting critical operational initiatives
  • Analyze information needs, system flow, data usage, and business processes to design effective software solutions
  • Update and extend business logic, APIs, user interface functionality, and reporting capabilities
  • Design and develop scalable RESTful web services utilizing Spring technologies
  • Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and backend integrations
  • Support ongoing application maintenance, enhancements, and defect remediation efforts
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, technical documentation, and deployment activities
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple application environments
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise coding standards, testing strategies, and security requirements
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams, business users, and project stakeholders
  • Participate in on-call support activities as required by operational needs
