An Intern Investor typically assists investment teams or firms by conducting market research, analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and participating in meetings. Their role is to support senior investors in evaluating potential investment opportunities and understanding market trends. What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an intern investor, and why are they important?

To succeed as an Intern Investor, you need a solid understanding of finance, accounting principles, and market analysis, typically supported by coursework in business or economics. Familiarity with financial modeling tools like Excel, Bloomberg Terminal, or FactSet is often expected, and relevant certifications such as CFA Level I can be advantageous.
