Job description

Position Summary:
The Manufacturing and Support Service Intern will assist with daily production floor operations and provide essential administrative and logistical support. This is a cross-functional role designed to give hands-on experience in electronics assembly, inventory management, and facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Support (approx. 60%)

  • Assist operators with basic PCB and final assembly tasks, mechanical assembly, and cable harnessing.
  • Perform basic testing and quality checks on electronic assemblies per work instructions.
  • Track work order progress and update production status in the ERP/system.
  • Help engineers set up workstations for new product builds (NPI).

Support Services (approx. 40%)

  • Pull, count, and kit electronic components from inventory for scheduled production runs.
  • Assist in receiving, inspecting, and putting away incoming materials.
  • Maintain and organize manufacturing documentation, including travelers, work instructions, and SOPs.
  • Ensure production floor compliance with 5S and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety standards.
  • Perform general facility support tasks as needed (e.g., organizing supplies, basic equipment maintenance).

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of electronic components and hand tools.
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
