Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

Invo Healthcare, in partnership with The Stepping Stones Group, proudly supports Charter Schools USA (CSUSA) and is seeking a dynamic Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team.

Our revolutionary IMPACT Program provides students who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) with the integrated resources needed to significantly reduce problematic behaviors while meaningfully improving school performance.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Active state-level licensure or Registered Intern status as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist
  • Experience working with children and adolescents preferred but not required

What You'll Do:

  • Apply evidence-based mental health counseling methods and techniques
  • Utilize DSM and mental health counseling principles, procedures, and standards
  • Work independently to develop collaborative relationships with parents, teachers, school administrators, families, students, interdisciplinary teams, and community agencies
  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments to obtain medical history and other pertinent information
  • Administer trauma-informed screening and assessment tools, including the CFARS and ACE Questionnaire
  • Provide individual and group counseling services, as well as classroom support when appropriate, to address emotional and behavioral goals that promote school success with signed parental consent
  • Implement therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Seeking Safety in individual, family, and group settings
  • Support campus counselors and administrators in conducting crisis risk assessments, de-escalating students, and providing recommendations for family and community resources
  • Consult with parents and family members regarding student progress and areas of concern
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals, objectives, and discharge criteria to address student and family needs
  • Ensure clinical documentation is completed according to company policies, procedures, and compliance standards
