What types of support and mentorship can Intern Inpatient Hospice RNs expect during their internship?

As an Intern Inpatient Hospice RN, you will typically work under the close supervision of experienced hospice nurses and a multidisciplinary care team. You'll participate in team meetings and interdisciplinary rounds, helping you build confidence and learn best practices in a collaborative environment. This structure ensures you receive feedback, develop clinical skills, and gain emotional support as you adapt to the unique challenges of hospice care.

Compassion, emotional resilience, and strong communication skills are crucial for supporting patients and families during end-of-life care. These competencies ensure sensitive, effective care delivery and help provide comfort and dignity to patients in hospice settings.
